sql설치가 잘 안되서여..

메일로 질문을 했었는데.. 답이 없으시길래여.. 여기다 다시 올립니다.

제가 sql을 설치하기 위해서 mysql-3.23.54a-pc-linux.i686.tar.gz을 다운받았습니다.

그래서 아카이브를 풀고, 압축을 풀고.. /usr/local/mysql로 파일을 옮겼습니다.

그리고 나서 ./configure를 해야 하쟎아여

그랬는데.. configure에 옵션을 주어도.. 안주어도.. help를 해도.. 자꾸...

To start mysqld at boot time you have to copy support-files/mysql.server
to the right place for your system

PLEASE REMEMBER TO SET A PASSWORD FOR THE MySQL root USER !
This is done with:
./bin/mysqladmin -u root  password 'new-password'
./bin/mysqladmin -u root -h chaos.sunmoon.ac.kr  password 'new-password'
See the manual for more instructions.

NOTE:  If you are upgrading from a MySQL <= 3.22.10 you should run
the ./bin/mysql_fix_privilege_tables. Otherwise you will not be
able to use the new GRANT command!

You can start the MySQL daemon with:
cd . ; ./bin/safe_mysqld &

You can test the MySQL daemon with the benchmarks in the 'sql-bench' directory:
cd sql-bench ; run-all-tests

Please report any problems with the ./bin/mysqlbug script!

Starting the mysqld server.  You can test that it is up and running
with the command:
./bin/mysqladmin version
[root@chaos mysql]# chown: mysql: invalid user
Starting mysqld daemon with databases from /usr/local/mysql/data
030116 10:31:52  mysqld ended

[root@chaos mysql]# >>

자꾸 이런식으로 나옵니다...

왜 이런건지.. 머가 잘못된 건지... 이뒤의 실행해야 하는 make나 make install역시 되지 않습니다..

빠른 답변 부탁 드립니다...
