시스템 부팅메시지 전체를 확인하기
앞서 말씀 드렸듯이 시스템 부팅메시지는 /var/log/dmesg파일입니다.
따라서 이 파일을 먼저 살펴보도록 하겠습니다.
아래의 예는 현재 필자가 사용하고 있는 리눅스 시스템의 /var/log/dmesg파일의 일부분만을 확인한 것입니다.

보시는 바와 같이 부팅메시지는 시스템의 정상운용에 꼭 필요한 하드웨어에 대한 중요한 정보들이 저장되어 있습니다.
이 파일의 내용은 텍스트로 되어있기 때문에 vi나 cat으로도 확인할 수 있습니다.
자, 그럼 먼저 다음 예와 같이 쉘상태에서 dmesg라고 하면 시스템의 전체 부팅메시지를 결과로 출력해 줍니다.

말씀 드린 바와 같이 결과가 너무 많아서 모두 나타내지는 못하였습니다.
이번 예에서 dmesg라는 결과가 전체 부팅메시지를 결과로 출력한다는 것을 알 수 있습니다.
