yum실무11편: yum으로 특정 패키지 그룹 삭제하기
이미 시스템에 설치된 특정 패키지그룹을 yum을 이용하여 삭제하는 방법에 대해서 알아보자. 특정 패키지를 삭제하는 것보다 특정 패키지그룹을 삭제하는 것은 좀 생각해야 할 부분이 있다.
즉 패키지그룹은 여러개의 패키지들로 구성되어있고, 하나의 패키지는 또한 여러개의 파일들로 구성되어있다.
이런 상황에서 하나의 패키지그룹을 삭제한다는 것은 심각한 의존성문제를 야기할 수 있기 때문이다.
하지만 다행스럽게도 yum은 이런 의존성문제를 모두 해결해 준다.
즉 의존성문제를 해결하기 위하여 필요한 패키지들도 함께 삭제해 주거나 꼭 필요할 경우에 삭제대상 패키지그룹에 속한 패키지라도 삭제되지 않도록 한다.
사용형식 : yum groupremove 패키지그룹명
다음 예는 “Printing Support”라는 패키지그룹이 불필요 할 것 같아서 삭제하려고 한다.
그래서 “yum groupremove “Printing Support””를 실행하였다.

이렇게 삭제하려고 하면 yum은 먼저 의존성검사를 수행한다.
그리고 삭제대상 패키지그룹에 속한 패키지들을 확인하고 몇 개의 패키지를 삭제해야 하는가를 결정한다.
그런 다음 사용자에게 삭제확인(y)을 받고서 삭제를 수행한다.
삭제수행 내용을 잘 보면 “Removed”항목이있고, “Dependency Removed”항목에 속한 패키지들이 각각 존재한다.
물론, 모두 삭제된 패키지들이지만 “Dependency Removed”항목에 속한 패키지들은 의존성문제로 삭제되는 패키지들임을 확인하기 바란다.
